Clay paintings

Before ordering a clay painting, please take a moment to read the following information. 

Clay naturally shrinks as it dries due to its water content. As the water evaporates, the clay contracts, which can result in surface cracking—sometimes subtle, sometimes more pronounced. This organic cracking is an essential part of the character, texture, and uniqueness of each clay painting.

Due to their heavily textured and rigid structure, clay paintings are always shipped as whole pieces and cannot be rolled.

Unfortunately, international shipping is not available for larger clay paintings. Because of their texture and structural nature, these works cannot be rolled or safely packed for overseas delivery.

Clay paintings can be ordered either framed or unframed. If you choose an unframed piece, I recommend using a professional local framer to ensure the best possible result for your artwork.

Whenever possible, I choose to work with local Finnish suppliers and responsibly sourced materials.

All paintings are created on high-quality linen canvas and framed with premium frames made by a Finnish manufacturer. I prepare each painting surface by hand, building the base myself as part of the artistic process.

The clay paints used in my work are supplied by a Finnish producer and are completely non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Every material choice reflects my commitment to quality, sustainability, and a thoughtful way of creating.
